Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Good driving record for the past three years
- Valid Texas Driver's License (Class C)
- Certificate of completion for Defensive Driving Course within last two years
- Corpus Christi-Nueces County Health Card
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to perform basic math computations
- Ability to apply common sense and follow instructions
- Ability to deal effectively with elderly persons
- Ability to maintain simple records
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Availability for temporary part-time employment
- Willingness to work in variable weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Good driving record for the past three years
- Ability to read and interpret safety and instructional documents
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to perform basic math computations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and solve problems
- Valid Texas Driver's License (Class C)
- Certificate of completion for Defensive Driving Course within last two years
- Corpus Christi-Nueces County Health Card
- Preferred CPR training
- Proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable
- Knowledge of local roads and geographic areas
Job Duties
- Drive a 15 and/or 12 passenger van providing transportation to senior citizens and delivering supplies and meals
- Provide supervision and assistance to passengers boarding, unboarding, and during transit
- Coordinate daily van routes with supervisor to optimize time and fuel usage
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report maintenance needs
- Maintain transportation and meal delivery records and complete required reports
- Make safety decisions while transporting passengers
- Assist passengers during outings and support community center tasks such as obtaining supplies and cleaning
