- GED or high school diploma
- minimum 1 year experience in food service
- ability to follow directions and collaborate with team
- current food handler's card or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- effective time management skills
- proficiency in operating kitchen equipment
- flexible availability including weekends
- reliable transportation
- ability to maintain accurate records and communicate orally and in writing

Job Duties
- Assist in the preparation of appropriate foods according to pre-planned menu cycles
- assist in the serving of meals and meal delivery containers
- ensure dining area supplies are stocked and beverage stations maintained
- meet production time frames
- gather food items and assist in salad, dessert, and sandwich preparation
- store foods safely with proper labeling
- use appropriate cleaning chemicals
- wash pots and pans using proper methods and operate commercial dishwasher
- clean and sanitize equipment and kitchen areas
- assist in receiving and storage of food and supplies
- report equipment failures or kitchen issues
- notify supervisor of stock problems or food spoilage
- participate in meetings and trainings
- perform other related duties as assigned
