Job Description

Our campus is dedicated to providing a clean and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and visitors. As a vital part of our team, we pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and order across all university spaces, including academic buildings, classrooms, public areas, and residence halls. We are seeking a diligent and reliable temporary Housekeeper to join us for an approximately eight-week assignment. This position is supervised by the Housekeeping Supervisor and plays a key role in ensuring all campus facilities are attractive, sanitary, and well-maintained to support the daily activities and comfort of the university community.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience
  • Working knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs or less
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience
  • Working knowledge of trends and methods used for cleaning facilities
  • Great people skills
  • Ability to set and change priorities

  • Good interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Performs cleaning duties in all assigned areas
  • Cleans floors with vacuums, dust mops and/or wet mops
  • Collects and removes trash and recyclable materials and deposits to designated areas
  • Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures and arranges furniture and/or equipment as directed
  • Operates light power cleaning equipment and performs preventative maintenance
  • Maintains adequate stock of supplies in bathrooms and storage areas
  • Completes additional duties as assigned
