Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hotel administration, business administration or related field preferred
- Two years of previous supervisory experience preferred
- Previous background in the extended stay industry preferred
- Ability to speak, read and write fluent English
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Mathematical skills including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages and variances
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities
- Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred
- Ability to travel including some overnight travel is required
- Valid driver's license required
- Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling and moving about the facility
- Exposure to commercial cleaning chemicals
- Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Frequently handling objects and equipment
- Required to obtain ServSafe certification
- Required to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Deliver on the promise of Sonesta Service in all interactions with guests and clients
- Manage according to the Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards and instill a passion for customer service in all associates
- Create processes and procedures to ensure the hotel is properly supplied with guest amenities and food and beverage outlets
- Ensure all staff is properly trained and equipped to carry out their job functions
- Manage front office and reservation functions ensuring security of monies and guest information
- Manage approvals, billing, and collections of hotel's accounts receivables
- Prepare month end reporting for hotel financial reports
- Manage housekeeping and laundry functions ensuring quality and brand standards
- Establish procedures to ensure all guest rooms and public areas are clean and well maintained
- Provide direction to establish and implement routine inspections of guest rooms and public areas
- Manage food and beverage operations maintaining standards of operation and guest satisfaction
- Ensure the shoppe convenience store is stocked and orderly
- Monitor inventory and order replenishments efficiently
- Manage and report on department expenses with the General Manager
- Purchase and requisition inventory maintaining adequate stock levels
- Control food and beverage costs and ensure security and storage
- Manage human resources and benefits programs within departments including recruiting and training
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of information technology hardware and software
- Manage purchasing of all supplies and analyze spending for efficiencies
- Establish service recovery guidelines and respond promptly to guest complaints
- Promote teamwork and quality service through communication and coordination
- Attend events as a representative of management and prospect for sales leads
- Enforce hotel standards, policies, and procedures
- Act as manager on duty as required
- Regularly sell hotel rooms through direct client contact
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and alcohol service laws
- Perform other duties as assigned
