Job Requirements

  • Must commit to 8 to 10 hours per week and 2 weekend shifts per month
  • timely response to email and calendar requests
  • full commitment to assigned events with no call-offs within 1 week of scheduled events
  • class, exam, and vacation time must be approved and blocked within 3 weeks
  • ability to work temporary/on-call basis

Job Duties

  • Oversee event set up, execution, and tear down at stadium and various campus locations including Club Naimoli, Compton Family Ice Arena, Joyce Center
  • ensure room set up is completed correctly before vendor arrivals and assist facilities if needed
  • communicate with clients prior to event start to confirm expectations are met
  • verify vendor arrival times and completion of set up per agreed timeline
  • troubleshoot audio/visual issues during events and assist with repairs
  • collaborate with event planners and university departments such as Facilities, Security, and Catering to coordinate event logistics
  • deliver high-level customer service to event clients, campus partners, and vendors
  • review upcoming events with Event Specialist prior to event date
  • complete post event captain reports and kitchen cleaning checklists thoroughly
