Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation or cooking preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and standardized recipes
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Adherence to all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Positive attitude and teamwork skills

  • Positive respectful and committed to the schedule you create
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time up to 6 hours at a time
  • Ability to move around the dining area to attend to guest needs
  • Ability to move lift and handle equipment supplies and other objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to position self to move items weighing up to 25 pounds from floor to shelves and cabinets above and below counter height
  • Follow food safety procedures for handling storing and serving food products

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook a wide variety of menu items including entrees sides soups and desserts following standardized recipes and production sheets
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served according to food safety sanitation guidelines and university health department regulations
  • Monitor food quality taste and presentation making adjustments to maintain high standards and student satisfaction
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment including ovens grills fryers slicers and mixers safely and efficiently
  • Assist with inventory management including receiving storing and rotating food products to minimize waste and ensure freshness
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area including food preparation stations cooking equipment and storage areas
