Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and standardized recipes
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Adherence to all food safety and sanitation standards
- Positive attitude and teamwork skills

- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time up to 6 hours at a time
- Ability to move around the dining area to attend to guest needs
- Ability to move lift and handle equipment supplies and other objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to position self to move items weighing up to 25 pounds from floor to shelves and cabinets above and below counter height
- Follow food safety procedures for handling storing and serving food products
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook a wide variety of menu items including entrees sides soups and desserts following standardized recipes and production sheets
- Ensure all food is prepared and served according to food safety sanitation guidelines and university health department regulations
- Monitor food quality taste and presentation making adjustments to maintain high standards and student satisfaction
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment including ovens grills fryers slicers and mixers safely and efficiently
- Assist with inventory management including receiving storing and rotating food products to minimize waste and ensure freshness
- Maintain a clean and organized work area including food preparation stations cooking equipment and storage areas
