Job Requirements

  • preferably high school diploma or ged or higher education
  • 1+ years of experience in high-paced kitchen environments preferred
  • knowledge of various cooking ingredients preferred
  • familiarity with authentic korean food flavors preferred
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • capability to occasionally climb or balance and to crouch or kneel
  • ability to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
  • specific visual skills including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • proper lifting, pushing, and pulling techniques required

Job Duties

  • establish stations and gather all supplies needed to prepare for service
  • prepare a variety of foods including meat, seafood, vegetables, and cold dishes
  • prepare sauces and garnishes for assigned station
  • cover, label, date, and properly store all foods according to safe food handling procedures
  • inform the chef in advance of possible shortages
  • prepare made-to-order dishes
  • set up buckets and disinfecting towels
  • constantly check line equipment to ensure no gas leaks
  • check temperatures of all portable and reach-in refrigerators
  • place rubber mats at the station
  • conduct tastings with team members
  • restock reach-in refrigerators
  • prepare lunch boxes for upcoming rushes
  • clean line equipment including grill, stove, flat top, rice warmers, and under equipment
  • change stove top sheet liners
  • clean and disinfect sinks
  • disinfect prep area surfaces
  • sweep and mop floors
  • empty and clean disinfectant buckets
  • perform other assigned duties
