Job Requirements
- TABC certification valid for the entire duration of South By San Jose event
- ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- excellent customer service skills
- strong attention to detail
- ability to handle cash and card transactions accurately
- physical stamina for standing long hours and performing bar setup/takedown
- legal age to serve alcohol in Texas
Job Qualifications
- TABC certification required (must be valid for the duration of SXSW)
- must be able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Take drink orders from guests and wait staff
- serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately
- ensure guests are of legal drinking age by checking identification
- manage high-volume service especially during peak hours
- handle cash and card transactions accurately and balance receipts at the end of shifts
- monitor guest alcohol consumption and practice responsible service by identifying intoxicated patrons and following proper intervention techniques
- maintain a clean, stocked, and organized work area throughout the shift
- assist in setting up and breaking down the bar before and after shifts
- uphold all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
