Job Requirements

  • Completion of high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma
  • One year experience in janitorial work that includes public contact
  • Valid Florida drivers license required
  • Work requires physical strength and agility
  • May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Work requires wearing uniform supplied and in compliance with dress code

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma
  • One year experience in janitorial work that includes public contact
  • Ability to work effectively with coworkers and the general public
  • Ability to keep records and prepare reports
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to read and understand complex work schedules and diagrams

Job Duties

  • Perform general janitorial and attendant work at assigned building facilities and grounds including set-up and clean-up after events and activities
  • Move and lift heavy equipment, tables, chairs, and other objects to prepare for and clean up after events and programs
  • Lock and unlock facilities and notify appropriate authorities in event of emergency
  • Monitor events and programs and assist as needed
  • Enforce strict applicable rules and regulations by informing general public participants
  • Attend work on continuous and regular basis
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
