Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year experience in social services field with coordination of services or special projects
  • Valid State of Kansas driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance
  • Preferred one year experience in aging services or food service
  • One year of supervisory experience preferred
  • Food Handlers Training is desirable

  • One year supervisory experience preferred
  • Food Handlers Training is a plus

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day nutrition service operations ensuring timely meal provision and participant eligibility
  • Monitor contractor and sub-recipient use of Nutrition Management Information System (MIS) and KAMIS
  • Assist with annual program review of congregate nutrition sites and collaborate on nutrition service reports and performance improvement plans
  • Provide training and technical assistance to employees, site managers, contractors, and sub-recipients
  • Conduct assessments to assist congregate sites with service access for eligible participants
  • Deliver presentations promoting congregate meal sites in Butler, Harvey and Sedgwick Counties
  • Coordinate recurring meetings with nutrition site managers to foster collaboration and ensure quality service delivery
  • Stay updated on nutrition service trends to recommend program improvements
  • Oversee daily program income collection, handling and reporting and assist with donor communications
  • Supervise agency congregate meal site coordinators including staff coaching, scheduling, and coverage management
