Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED certificate or vocational school diploma
  • Four to five years of job related experience
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with business-related computer applications
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
  • Commitment to sustainability principles
  • Availability to work flexible hours as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED certificate or vocational school diploma
  • Four to five years of job related experience
  • Technical diploma, associate's degree or two years college course work preferred
  • Working knowledge and skills in event management
  • Customer service skills
  • Organizing and planning skills
  • Proficiency in business related computer applications

Job Duties

  • Confer with event sponsors to determine scope and overall objectives associated with an event
  • Based on client needs and facility availability determine resources required and prepare event schedule
  • Make necessary facility reservations
  • Arrange for any catering requirements, facility set-up, parking, security, etc.
  • Design and create promotional/publicizing materials
  • Manage and track event budgets/costs, and maintain associated reports
  • Conduct follow-up to determine adequacy of services provided in support of event
