Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of administrative, reception, or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and multitask
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in basic office software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Availability for a 6-month employment period
- Physical presence on campus as needed to support educational experiences and operations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of administrative, reception, or customer service experience preferred
- Experience in higher education or a similar institutional environment is a plus
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficiency in basic office software including email, calendars, word processing, and spreadsheets
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and remain organized
- Professional judgment, discretion, and attention to detail
- Familiarity with higher education environments preferred
Job Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact for all visitors, providing welcoming, professional, and accurate assistance
- Answer and route incoming phone calls and emails appropriately
- Greet, direct, and assist students, faculty, staff, vendors, and external stakeholders
- Monitor front desk coverage to ensure consistent service during business hours
- Provide general administrative support to department staff and leadership
- Support onboarding logistics for new staff, student employees, and guests
- Manage office supply inventory and coordinate mail and deliveries
- Serve as a point of contact for distributing department-wide messages and maintain accuracy of posted information
- Adhere to university policies, FERPA, confidentiality requirements, and professional standards
- Exercise discretion when handling sensitive information
- Represent the department positively in all interactions
