Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One month to twelve months of relevant experience
  • Prior cash handling or teller experience preferred
  • Ability to accurately operate teller equipment and PC
  • Excellent math skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Dependable attendance and job performance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet navigation
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team
  • Must complete required training programs
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Must be authorized to work in the US

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One month to twelve months of similar or related experience
  • Prior cash handling or teller experience preferred
  • Ability to operate PC equipment, teller terminals, printers, calculators, and currency counters accurately
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent basic math skills with attention to detail
  • Maintain confidentiality and dependability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to navigate the internet and complete online forms
  • Some knowledge of emerging technology such as mobile devices and imaging
  • Familiarity with home banking and bill paying services
  • Completion of The Member Advantage training within nine months
  • Completion of annual training and accelerator classes

Job Duties

  • Properly identify members including account ownership
  • Accept deposits, payments, withdrawals, and loan advances within assigned limits
  • Maintain control of cash by double counting and using dual control procedures
  • Verify checks for deposit compliance and endorse properly
  • Provide account information only to account owners
  • Resolve member concerns and complaints using available resources
  • Balance cash fund and check batches daily
  • Maintain security over cash and valuables
  • Uphold confidentiality of member information
  • Maintain proficiency in required computer programs
  • Ensure workspace is neat and organized
  • Perform ATM frontline maintenance and balancing
  • Process night depository and ATM deposits
  • Complete all required training with acceptable grades
  • Comply with federal regulations including BSA, OFAC, and Red Flag Program
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
