TD Bank is a leading global financial institution and the fifth largest bank in North America by branches and stores. With over 95,000 colleagues across Canada, the United States, and worldwide, TD Bank strives to create remarkable and simple banking experiences for more than 27 million households and businesses. Committed to client-focused service, TD emphasizes deep relationships, disciplined execution, and a fast, simple banking experience. As an institution, TD prioritizes fair and equitable compensation, skill development, and internal growth opportunities, ensuring employees are supported in their career progression and personal well-being. TD values diversity and inclusion, offering a respectful workplace where every colleague has the opportunity to succeed and unlock their full potential.
The role of Teller I at TD Bank in Allentown, Pennsylvania, is a key customer-facing position within the Personal & Commercial Banking division. This part-time position (20 hours per week) offers an hourly wage between $21.00 and $26.25, dependent on skills, experience, and business needs. The Teller I acts as the frontline representative of TD's brand promise, delivering legendary customer experiences by efficiently processing everyday banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments while ensuring accuracy and compliance. Beyond transaction processing, the Teller educates customers about TD's financial products and digital services, advocates for customer needs through needs-based conversations, and refers clients to specialized banking partners when appropriate. This role requires a blend of financial transaction expertise, customer service skills, and operational accuracy to maintain secure and compliant banking procedures.
Tellers at TD work to orchestrate customer flow in the lobby, warmly greeting and guiding customers while managing cash drawers with precision and ensuring adherence to security and audit standards. Responsibilities include detecting and preventing fraud using the bank's tools, verifying customer identities to comply with regulations, and maintaining confidentiality of customer information. TD supports its tellers through structured onboarding and ongoing training programs, providing the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The role also demands physical capabilities such as frequent standing, walking, and handling of cash up to 25 pounds occasionally.
TD Bank is committed to supporting its colleagues through a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes base and variable compensation, health and well-being benefits, retirement savings programs, paid time off, banking discounts, career development opportunities, and recognition programs. Employees enjoy a culture of continuous learning, access to online learning platforms, mentoring, and regular performance conversations aimed at career advancement. TD fosters an inclusive environment where employees' diverse perspectives are valued and their personal and professional growth is prioritized. The bank is an equal opportunity employer and provides accommodations to applicants with disabilities during the hiring process.
Joining TD Bank as a Teller I provides a fulfilling opportunity for individuals passionate about customer service, financial services, and community engagement. The role is suitable for those seeking to develop foundational banking skills and grow within a respected financial institution that values its employees and offers a supportive work environment.
