Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude and good with hands and tools
- Hard-working and eager to learn
- Experience in related fields such as electrician, HVAC tech, or car audio installation
- Experience as mobile electronics installer or automotive electronics technician
- Ownership of tools (some specialty tools provided)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check
- Must be willing to travel within 250-mile radius for up to a week
- Must be able to drive, maneuver in tight spaces, bend, squat, walk long distances, and lift over 25 lbs
- Willingness to be clean shaven if required
- Safety sensitive position
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Trade school certificate preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and skilled with tools
- Experience in related fields such as electrician, HVAC technician, or car audio installer
- Experience as mobile electronics installer, automotive electronics technician, or 12V technician
- Ability to work hard and attention to detail
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background check
- Willingness to travel up to 250 miles for up to a week
- Physical ability to drive, maneuver in tight spaces, bend, squat, walk long distances, and lift more than 25 lb
- Must be open to clean shaving if required to enter certain worksites
- Ability to work in a safety-sensitive position
- Prior telematics experience not required as training is provided
Job Duties
- Install telematics system and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, heavy equipment, and customer assets
- Operate machinery during installation for testing purposes
- Remove and replace ignition systems without custom keypad and controller, then integrate communication between keypad and telematics systems
- Work through a variety of installation scenarios from basic wiring to complex custom harnesses
- Identify and resolve problems, gather and analyze information, and develop alternative solutions as needed
- Travel to client sites and EquipmentShare rental yards for installation cases
- Advocate for the EquipmentShare platform of solutions and brand while on the job and in the field
- Occasionally work outside business hours and on weekends
