Job Requirements

  • Completion of high school curriculum or equivalent
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electronic radio and telecommunications systems operation
  • DCI Certified

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of high school curriculum or equivalent
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electronic radio and telecommunications systems operation
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally using English on various telecommunications systems
  • Ability to analyze data and make rapid decisions in emergency situations
  • Ability to process information from multiple audio and visual sources simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows
  • DCI Certification

Job Duties

  • Receives incoming routine and emergency calls
  • Dispatches and maintains contact with police and fire
  • Operates 800 MHz and UHF radio systems and departmental telephone lines
  • Makes requests for services from other airport departments, maintenance, parking, TSA, FAA
  • Operates and monitors a variety of computers including local, state and national information networks and fire/security systems
  • Prepares and maintains manual and electronic logs, documents police and fire activities via CAD
  • Assists the public with information or other customer service needs
  • Ensures all telecommunications activities comply with Federal Communications requirements
  • Monitors and operates Closed Circuit Television (CCTV)
