Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, english, human-centered design, or similar field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in marketing or event coordination
- Prior experience in A/E/C or SaaS industry preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across organizational levels
- Proficiency in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Flexibility to handle last-minute changes and large-scale requests
- Willingness and ability to travel 9-12 times annually
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, English, Human-Centered Design, or a similar field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in marketing or event coordination (A/E/C or SaaS industry experience preferred)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments and deadlines concurrently
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with people at all levels of the organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated organization, detail orientation, and follow-through skills
- Proficiency with MS Office including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to be flexible, including handling last-minute or large-scale requests
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with limited daily supervision
- Exceptional client service mentality, strong work ethic, and take-charge attitude
Job Duties
- Work with Kimley-Horn conference attendees to coordinate our engagement and effective attendance at conferences
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop proposals for speaker presentations, white papers, project awards, and other marketing content
- Support or lead product demonstrations and presentations at industry events to generate leads
- Write and edit content for social media platforms, award submittals, and other channels as needed
- Coordinate event-related needs such as registering conference attendees, ordering promotional giveaways, tracking deadlines, developing marketing materials, data entry, and other department activities, as needed
- Work with product marketing and communications partners to promote conference involvement including speakers, booths, awards, and other marketing activities
- Willingness and ability to travel 9-12 times per calendar year
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned
