Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of event logistics experience preferred
  • Experience with event management software preferred
  • Ability to work evenings and or weekends as needed
  • Valid Texas driver’s license
  • Proof of liability insurance
  • Insurable under South Texas College’s insurance policy
  • Ability to maintain authorization to drive College-owned vehicles
  • Subject to criminal background check
  • Subject to federal background check
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend and perform physical tasks
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Willingness to travel within the college district using reliable transportation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of event logistics experience preferred
  • Experience with event management software preferred
  • Excellent oral written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to prioritize organize and complete multiple tasks with attention to detail within stated deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team player
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced high-intensity work situations
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Valid Texas driver’s license and ability to maintain authorization to drive College-owned vehicles

Job Duties

  • Assist in the coordination of all event logistics including transportation equipment and vendor management
  • Support in setting up and breaking down event spaces ensuring all materials equipment and decor are in place and functioning properly
  • Help maintain and monitor event schedules ensuring all timelines and deadlines are met throughout the planning and execution process
  • Track and manage event materials supplies and equipment ensuring all items are accounted for and available when needed
  • Provide immediate on-site assistance solving any logistical custodial issues that arise during events
  • Ensure that all event setups adhere to safety and regulatory standards maintaining a safe environment for guests and staff
  • Help with post-event breakdowns cleanup and store equipment furniture
  • Performs other duties as assigned
