Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a fast-paced medical office preferred
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to raise hands and arms to shoulder level without restriction, pain, or discomfort
- Ability to perform extended use of phones and computer terminals, as well as diagnostic equipment without pain or discomfort
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a fast-paced medical office preferred
- Experience with electronic health records preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient with diagnostic ophthalmic equipment
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Commitment to patient care and excellence
Job Duties
- Patient counseling and education as needed
- Awareness of patient flow issues and ability to maintain efficient clinical flow
- Updates daily schedule by assessing no-shows and add-ins
- Scribes in a rotational pattern
- Answers and returns phone calls and writes scripts as requested by physicians and other departments
- Stocks and cleans clinic as needed
- Facilitates patient experience by assisting physicians in overall patient care
- Works within the confines of the team by assisting other departments with answers to questions, patient triage, etc
- Maintains a professional demeanor, including dress and work conversation
- Understands and solves patient complaints
- Other duties as assigned
