Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to work irregular hours during emergencies and operational tasks
- Ability to perform medium to heavy physical labor including walking bending climbing lifting shoveling carrying and driving
- Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions including rain storms extreme temperatures
- Passed pre-employment drug screening and medical examination
- Ability to communicate effectively using aviation terminology and hand signals
- Available to work overtime nonstandard hours and weekends when necessary
- Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers and string trimmers
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Experience in aviation services or related field preferred
- CDL license preferred
- Hazmat training preferred
- Private pilot's license preferred
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with airport operations
- Good communication skills
- Ability to document and manage inventory and fueling operations
- Ability to work in outdoor and variable weather conditions
- Capability to operate various types of aircraft towing and fueling equipment
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
Job Duties
- Greet assist and provide services for the needs of aircraft flight crews and visitors to the airport
- Use an aviation radio with commonly used aviation terminology to monitor aircraft
- Direct park and communicate with aircraft crews using aviation hand signals when necessary
- Determine single point or overwing fuel requirements for jet traffic operations and perform each
- Document all inbound shipments of materials and products perform inventory management and oversee the sales of all products
- Perform specific gravity testing on fuel ensure proper documentation is maintained and confirm adherence to safe fuel transfer requirements
- Operate different types of aircraft towing equipment and utilize proper attachment points and procedures based on the type of aircraft being towed
- Perform aircraft fueling operations including written and computerized documentation of quantities customer information and which aircraft is fueled
- Perform daily testing and written documentation of all fueling systems including truck self serve and fuel farm tanks
- Operate clean and service fuel trucks tanks and other equipment
- Inspect facilities routinely including perimeter security aircraft landing lights and daily foreign object and debris checks
- Perform assigned maintenance and housekeeping tasks
- Perform clerical and reception duties including receiving and coordinating fuel orders and applying payments to accounts
- Move park and secure aircraft in a safe manner according to specified procedures
- Operate lawn mowers string trimmers and other lawn maintenance equipment
- Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
