Job Requirements
- Must have HS diploma / GED
- sanitation experience 1-2 years recommended not required
- prior food manufacturing experience or exposure a plus
- must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- must be able to work in hot and cold environments
- must be able to work with chemicals following SOP's / SDS
- must be able to work at heights 20 feet regularly / 80 feet as needed on ladders or scissor lifts
- must be flexible with work schedule
- must be okay with getting wet and dirty
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- knowledge of sanitation protocols in food manufacturing is a plus
- ability to understand and follow safety guidelines including HACCP, GMP, SSOP, SDS, and LOTO
- ability to work effectively as part of a team
- good communication skills and attention to detail
- willingness to learn and adapt to company’s procedures
- experience in sanitation or food manufacturing recommended but not required
Job Duties
- Abide by and adhere to all safety standards placing people safety above all other requirements
- perform and guide production equipment cleaning using tools or a simple bucket and brush
- work with other departments to ensure comprehensive cleaning of equipment
- perform sanitation audits focusing on cleaning quality and completion
- understand SOP's and offer feedback on the content within
- support quality and production departments during inspections
- understand HACCP, GMP, SSOP, SDS, LOTO
- maintain facility at a constant tour-ready state
- perform or assist in root cause analysis and routine problem-solving
- understand chemicals and their function/application with training provided
- inspect equipment after sanitation
- must be a team player
