Job Duties
- Provide service that is cheerful, helpful, and above and beyond for the guest while making subs, salad, protein bowls, wraps and more
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain them to guests accurately
- Provide food that meets Subway’s specifications and high-quality standards
- Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally and calmly to resolve problems according to Subway's standards and policies
- Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation in all areas of the restaurant including washing dishes, cleaning restrooms, deep cleaning, and equipment cleaning
- Set up the store including food preparation
- Use and clean power-driven electric meat slicer (18 years old and above only)
- Prepare and bake bread (16 years old and above only)
- Prepare and bake cookies (16 years old and above only)
- Slice fresh vegetables such as tomato, cucumber, onions, and green peppers
- Prepare meats, vegetables, seasoning, and sauces
- Label products
- Operate Point of Sale system and cash register to record orders, handle payments, and make change
- Perform cash-in and cash-out procedures during shifts
- Perform food temperature logs to ensure product safety
- Prepare food neatly, according to formula, and in a timely manner
- Check products in sandwich unit area and restock items to ensure sufficient supply
- Adhere to proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards during preparation, service, and cleanup
- Maintain a sanitary and safe restaurant environment including mopping, sweeping floors, removing trash, and cleaning equipment
- Follow all quality standards, formulas, and procedures as outlined in Subway Operations Manual
- Unload delivery truck supplies and place items in proper storage
- Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards
- Perform light paperwork as assigned
- Complete University of Subway courses as directed
- Practice inventory control standards
- Inspect equipment and storage facilities throughout the shift
- Follow directives of management team and operations partner in execution of responsibilities
