Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and overtime
- Physical ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate store equipment including cash register and computer
- Ability to maintain predictable attendance
- Willingness to complete required training and certifications including propane dispensing if applicable
- Ability to handle and care for live birds and poultry
- Ability to promote a safe and productive work environment
Job Qualifications
- No experience required but retail, farming, ranching, pet, equine, or welding knowledge strongly preferred
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict
Job Duties
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Work scheduled shifts including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime
- Deliver Legendary Customer Service by greeting customers, uncovering needs, recommending product solutions, and appreciating the customer
- Operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures
- Perform merchandise recovery and participate in mandatory freight process
- Complete Plan-o-gram procedures including merchandising, sets, and resets
- Assemble merchandise
- Perform janitorial duties
- Execute price changes and markdowns
- Operate forklift and cardboard baler (if 18 or older)
- Assist customers with loading purchases
- Ensure customer safety and well-being of birds by sanitizing and maintaining poultry holding tanks
- Complete all documentation associated with job duties
- Perform other duties as assigned
