Job Requirements
- Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime
- ability to move and transfer merchandise up to 50 pounds
- ability to push and pull merchandise with material handling equipment
- ability to stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders frequently
- ability to operate store equipment such as dolly, hand truck, forklift, baler, computer, and cash register
- ability to read, write, and accurately complete documentation
- ability to handle birds and poultry and maintain sanitation
- ability to complete required training and certification including propane dispensing when applicable
- availability, flexibility, adaptability, and service orientation
- ability to promote and adhere to safety training and guidelines
Job Qualifications
- No experience required
- retail experience preferred
- farming, ranching, pet, equine, or welding knowledge preferred
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to read, write, and count accurately
- strong communication and problem-solving skills
- basic computer skills
- strong interpersonal skills
- ability to resolve issues ethically and minimize conflict
Job Duties
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- work scheduled shifts including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime
- deliver legendary customer service through greeting customers, uncovering needs, recommending products, and appreciating customers
- operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures
- recover merchandise and participate in mandatory freight processing
- complete plan-o-gram procedures including merchandising, sets, and resets
- assemble merchandise
- perform janitorial duties
- execute price changes and markdowns
- operate forklift and cardboard baler when permitted
- assist customers with loading purchases
- ensure customer legendary shopping experience
- ensure safety and well-being of birds and maintain poultry tanks
- complete all related documentation
- perform other duties as assigned
