Job Requirements
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and overtime
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Ability to operate store equipment including cash register, forklift (if over 18), and baler (if over 18)
- Ability to lift merchandise up to 50 pounds and push/pull merchandise with assistance
- Ability to frequently stand, kneel, crouch, bend, stoop, and climb ladders
- Ability to safely access all store areas
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Ability to handle birds/poultry and complete associated care tasks
- Ability to successfully complete training and certification including propane dispensing if applicable
Job Qualifications
- No experience required
- Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge preferred
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict
Job Duties
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Work scheduled shifts including varied hours, nights, weekends, and overtime
- Deliver legendary customer service through GURA by greeting customers, uncovering needs, recommending products, and adding value
- Operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures
- Recover merchandise and participate in mandatory freight process
- Complete Plan-o-gram merchandising, sets, and resets
- Assemble merchandise
- Perform janitorial duties
- Execute price changes and markdowns
- Operate forklift and cardboard baler if over age 18
- Assist customers with loading purchases
- Ensure customer shopping experience is legendary and differentiates from competition
- Maintain safety and well-being of birds and sanitize poultry holding tanks
- Complete all related documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned
