Job Requirements
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to work scheduled shifts including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime
- Ability to operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures
- Ability to recover merchandise and participate in freight process
- Capability to complete plan-o-gram procedures and assemble merchandise
- Ability to perform janitorial duties and execute price changes
- Must be able to operate forklift and cardboard baler if 18 or older
- Ability to assist customers with loading purchases
- Ability to care for birds and sanitize holding tanks
- Ability to complete all documentation accurately
- Must successfully complete required training and certification
- Ability to safely move and lift merchandise up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with proper equipment
- Physical ability to stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders
- Ability to operate store equipment including computer and cash register
- Ability to handle exposure to birds/poultry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to dispense propane certification and dispensing if 18 or older
Job Qualifications
- No experience required
- Retail, farming, ranching, pet, equine, or welding knowledge preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically with minimal conflict
Job Duties
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Work scheduled shifts with availability for varied hours, including days, nights, weekends, and overtime
- Deliver Legendary Customer Service by greeting customers, uncovering their needs and wants, recommending product solutions, and appreciating the customer
- Operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures
- Recover merchandise and participate in mandatory freight process
- Complete plan-o-gram procedures for merchandising, sets, and resets
- Assemble merchandise and perform janitorial duties
- Execute price changes and markdowns
- Operate forklift and cardboard baler (for those 18 and older)
- Assist customers with loading purchases
- Ensure customer safety and legendary shopping experience
- Sanitize and maintain poultry holding tanks and care for birds
- Complete all associated documentation
- Perform additional duties as assigned
