Job Requirements
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Availability to work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and overtime
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with material handling equipment
- Ability to stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders frequently
- Ability to operate store equipment such as dolly, hand truck, forklift, baler, computer, and cash register (forklift and baler operation restricted for those under 18)
- Ability to perform janitorial duties and maintain store safety standards
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately
- Ability to handle and care for birds/poultry
- Ability to successfully complete all required training and certifications including propane dispensing (certification and dispensing not required if under 18)
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members using strong verbal and written communication skills
Job Qualifications
- No experience required
- Retail experience and/or knowledge of farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict
Job Duties
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Work scheduled shifts with flexibility for varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime
- Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA including greeting customers, uncovering customer needs, recommending product solutions, asking to add value, and appreciating the customer
- Operate cash register and computer following cash handling procedures
- Recover merchandise and participate in mandatory freight process
- Complete plan-o-gram procedures including merchandising, sets, and resets
- Assemble merchandise and perform janitorial duties
- Execute price changes and markdowns
- Operate forklift and cardboard baler (if over 18 years of age)
- Assist customers with loading purchases
- Ensure customers have a Legendary shopping experience
- Ensure safety and well-being of birds including sanitizing and maintaining poultry holding tanks
- Complete all related documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned
