Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately
- Availability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime
- Ability to move and transfer merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with equipment
- Ability to stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders frequently
- Ability to operate store equipment including cash register, computer, forklift and baler (if over 18)
- Ability to safely access all store areas
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Ability to handle and be in contact with birds/poultry
- Ability to complete required training and certifications including propane dispensing (if applicable)
Job Qualifications
- No experience required
- Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet, equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and minimize conflict
Job Duties
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Work scheduled shifts including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime
- Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA - greet customers, uncover needs, recommend product solutions, ask to add value
- Operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures
- Recover merchandise and participate in freight processing
- Complete plan-o-gram merchandising sets and resets
- Assemble merchandise and perform janitorial duties
- Execute price changes and markdowns
- Operate forklift and cardboard baler if age appropriate
- Assist customers with loading purchases
- Ensure safety and well-being of birds including sanitizing and maintaining poultry holding tanks
- Complete all required documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned
