Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Standing, walking and lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic math ability

Job Qualifications

  • Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred
  • Basic math skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Job Duties

  • Ensure each customer receives outstanding service
  • Greet customers as they enter the store
  • Answer the phone with a professional greeting
  • Tactfully and pleasantly deal with customers
  • Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements
  • Accurately and efficiently ring on POS and maintain all cash at the POS
  • Maintain orderly appearance of POS area and supplies stocked
  • Ensure that merchandise displays in the front-end area are clean, organized and well-stocked
  • Perform other tasks as assigned from time to time by store management
  • Solicit customers to sign up for an Ace Rewards Card
  • Issue receipts, refunds, credits or change due to customers
  • Call for back up cashier when 3 or more customers are in line
  • Participate in all store training programs
