Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 plus years culinary experience in a high-volume restaurant kitchen
- ability to obtain or renew all government required licenses or certifications
- physical ability to lift materials weighing from 1 to 50 pounds up to 4 feet in height
- stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, push, pull, twist and squat for duration of shift
- able to walk 2 to 4 miles during an 8-hour shift
- ability to work in a smoke-filled and loud work environment

- has the desire to be extremely organized and prioritize work and meet deadlines
- must have the ability to comprehend and follow supervisor's instructions
- perform duties within multiple temperature ranges from hot to cold

- strong knowledge of food service industry, cuisines and beverages
- possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- sufficient mathematical skills to complete recipes, schedules, forecasts and budgets
- ability to provide clear direction and guidance to team members
- experience in planning and budgeting
- able to read and understand financial statements
- experience controlling labor costs and costs of goods
- experience in high volume, 4-star restaurants with 3-5 years executive management experience
- experience running multi-restaurant operations with over 2.5 million dollars in annual volume
Job Duties
- Safely prepare all food prep and food items in accordance with standard hotel recipes and specifications
- ensure good turnover of products by practicing proper rotation and maintaining inventory
- listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice
- monitor staff performance, product quality and production flow in the absence of senior chefs
- participate in activities of cooks and team members involved in preparing, cooking and presenting food according to hotel standards
- make constant contact with internal and external customers to provide optimal guest service
- analyze customer feedback, make judgments and take action to implement improvements
- maintain productive working relationships with customers
