Job Requirements

  • Food Handler permit
  • Proven experience as a cook preferably in a bulk or high-volume kitchen environment
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Ability to weigh and measure food accurately
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to multitask in a busy kitchen
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Capability to work in a hot fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to use finger dexterity for small movements
  • Ability to talk and communicate clearly
  • Average hearing and visual abilities
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Ability to read and prepare written communication accurately

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Proven experience as a cook in a high-volume kitchen
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes accurately
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic math skills for measuring ingredients
  • Food Handler permit or certification

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
  • Accurately weigh and measure ingredients
  • Manage time efficiently to meet production deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Assist in inventory control and stock replenishment
