Job Requirements
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Able to speak, read, and write effectively
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Adhere to McAlister's grooming and uniform policies
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Able to work flexible hours
- Able to travel to assigned restaurant location and operate assigned workstations
- Able to stand and walk 80-90 percent of the time
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food service preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Customer service orientation
Job Duties
- Responsible for preparing certain foods
- Responsible for greeting our guests and taking their orders accurately in a friendly manner
- Requires knowledge of menu items and ingredients as well as familiarity with step-by-step procedures for friendly and efficient customer service
- Responsible for accurate cash control
- Responsible for delivering orders to guests ensuring every order is complete and correctly prepared
- Responsible for cleaning the dining area and servicing our guests
- Ensures each guest receives exactly what was ordered promptly and courteously
- Orders must be directed to dining room, curbside, and pickup areas in an orderly fashion
- Responsible for preparing each menu item quickly and following the notes
- Maintains product quality standards during food preparation
