Job Requirements
- Ability to work at least one of the following: early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to stand, see, hear, speak, reach, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, sit, and move intermittently during working hours for 4 to 8 hours
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
- Strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest service
- Willingness to learn and adapt to company standards and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Restaurant, retail, or guest service experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage cash transactions accurately
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Enthusiasm for coffee and hospitality
- Positive attitude and a learner’s mentality
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization within the store
- Basic math skills for cash handling
Job Duties
- Provide incredible guest service by developing personal ongoing relationships with guests
- Practice active listening and connection
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively solve guest opportunities by demonstrating product knowledge and hospitality
- Make enthusiastic and knowledgeable recommendations to delight guests
- Create day making experiences that spark a chain reaction of good
- Hand-craft beverages to order per Caribou standard operating procedures
- Heat, prepare, and serve Caribou food offerings to Caribou standard operating procedures
- Float between barista and guest service, and willingly fulfill all team member roles and responsibilities
- Take guest orders and manage cash drawer following all cash handling policies and procedures
- Maintain the look and feel of a well-run store by following cleanliness, sanitization, and organization standards
- Actively think and act upon what the team and guest will need in the future
- Differentiate between problems that can be solved directly and when to ask for leader support
- Understand that the team is managing multiple priorities and willingly take direction from leaders
