Job Requirements

  • Ability to work at least one of the following: early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Ability to stand, see, hear, speak, reach, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, sit, and move intermittently during working hours for 4 to 8 hours
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest service
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to company standards and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Restaurant, retail, or guest service experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage cash transactions accurately
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Enthusiasm for coffee and hospitality
  • Positive attitude and a learner’s mentality
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization within the store
  • Basic math skills for cash handling

Job Duties

  • Provide incredible guest service by developing personal ongoing relationships with guests
  • Practice active listening and connection
  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively solve guest opportunities by demonstrating product knowledge and hospitality
  • Make enthusiastic and knowledgeable recommendations to delight guests
  • Create day making experiences that spark a chain reaction of good
  • Hand-craft beverages to order per Caribou standard operating procedures
  • Heat, prepare, and serve Caribou food offerings to Caribou standard operating procedures
  • Float between barista and guest service, and willingly fulfill all team member roles and responsibilities
  • Take guest orders and manage cash drawer following all cash handling policies and procedures
  • Maintain the look and feel of a well-run store by following cleanliness, sanitization, and organization standards
  • Actively think and act upon what the team and guest will need in the future
  • Differentiate between problems that can be solved directly and when to ask for leader support
  • Understand that the team is managing multiple priorities and willingly take direction from leaders
  • Bring the core values to life in all that you do: support one another, make fun happen, be yourself, take ownership, serve with love
