Job Requirements
- Minimum of 16 years old
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Work with agility
- Availability for occasional long hours within applicable laws
- Ability to write simple correspondence in English
- Ability to effectively share information in English for safety and communication
- Ability to move freely throughout the store including walk-in refrigerators and freezers
- Ability to test products by taste, color, and smell
Job Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in the food service industry or equivalent retail experience
- Current food handler certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days
- Basic math skills
- Basic reading skills
- Ability to understand and carry out oral or written instructions in English
- Strong guest focus with excellent people skills
- Positive can-do attitude
- Quick learner
- Availability to work shifts
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
- Compliance with health and sanitation laws
- High school diploma or attending school or commensurate experience preferred
- Experience with computers, smartphones, iPads, retail handhelds, and POS systems preferred
- General knowledge of the food industry or retail operations preferred
- Background in nutrition highly desirable
Job Duties
- Deliver the ultimate customer service experience and impressions of the Jamba brand
- Responsible for customer product and service standards
- Follow all company operations policies and procedures
- Deliver an exceptional in-store customer experience by embodying the brand core values
- Execute quality store operations including cleaning blenders and store facilities
- Operate food preparation machinery according to age requirements
- Stock all supplies
- Respond to directions accurately and timely
- Adhere to food, safety, and security guidelines
- Master station operations
- Complete Jamba store and company policy trainings
- Provide a healthy consistent product by making and serving menu items to specifications
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Execute proper portion control
- Suggest and upsell products professionally
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions
- Use point-of-sale system efficiently
- Provide samples to potential guests
- Set up and break down equipment and supplies during opening and closing
- Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks as directed
- Comply with uniform and hygiene standards
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- Comply with company policies and federal and state regulations
