Job Requirements
- Minimum of 16 years old
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly stressed environment
- Work with agility
- Occasional long hours within state and federal applicable laws
- Ability to write simple correspondence in English
- Ability to effectively share information in one-on-one or small group settings
- Ability to move freely throughout the store including walk-in refrigerator and freezers
- Ability to test products by taste, color, and smell
Job Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in the food service industry or equivalent retail experience
- Current food handler certification or ability to obtain within first 30 days
- Basic math and reading skills
- Ability to understand and carry out oral or written instructions in English
- Strong guest focus with excellent people skills including positive can-do attitude and quick learner
- Availability to work shifts
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
- Compliance with all health and sanitation laws and regulations
- High School diploma or attending school or commensurable experience preferred
- Experience with computer, smart phones, iPads, retail handhelds, and POS systems preferred
- General knowledge of the food industry or retail operations preferred
- Background in nutrition highly desirable
Job Duties
- Deliver the ultimate customer service experience and impressions of the Jamba brand
- Responsible for customer product and service standards
- Follow all company operations policies and procedures
- Deliver an exceptional customer in store experience by embodying the brand core values at all times
- Execute quality store operations including cleaning blenders, small wares, merchandise and store facilities, operating food preparation machinery, and stocking supplies
- Respond to directions in an accurate and timely manner
- Adhere to Jamba food, safety and security guidelines
- Master station operations of the store
- Successfully complete Jamba store and company policy trainings
- Consistently make and serve all Jamba products to specifications following health, safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assertively and professionally suggest and upsell to increase profitability
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions adhering to cash handling policies
- Operate point-of-sale system efficiently with minimum voids and accurately make change
- Serve and provide samples to potential guests
- Set up and break down equipment, utensils, and supplies for opening and closing
- Perform cleaning and maintenance procedures as directed
- Comply with uniform and hygiene standards
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Comply with Fresh Dining Concepts policies and federal and state regulations including OSHA, EPA, EEO, ADA
