The opportunity is with a restaurant independently owned and operated by a franchisee of Jack in the Box. This means that while the restaurant carries the well-known Jack in the Box brand, all employment matters including hiring, firing, scheduling, wages, and supervision are managed by the independent franchise owner rather than Jack in the Box Inc. itself. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- ability to communicate clearly in English
- ability to perform basic math calculations
- physically able to stand and walk most of the shift
- capable of lifting between 15 and 25 pounds
- availability to work flexible hours including busy and high-volume periods
- willingness to follow company policies and procedures including uniform and grooming standards
- reliable and dependable with a positive attitude
- ability to work well with diverse team members
- able to handle fast-paced work environment without showing stress
Job Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16 years
- guest service or food cook/preparation experience helpful
- ability to understand and communicate clearly in English
- basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and multiplication
- ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment
- physical ability to stand and walk 90-95% of the shift
- ability to lift and carry 15-25 pounds
- experience working in a high volume fast-paced restaurant environment
- knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
Job Duties
- Delivering excellent guest service by performing workstations according to Jack in the Box standards
- greeting and assisting guests with friendly and attentive service
- taking and processing orders accurately using the POS system
- assembling food products ensuring quality, presentation, and temperature standards
- maintaining cleanliness and organization of restaurant work areas including front and back of house
- following food safety policies and procedures including hand washing and glove use
- working collaboratively with team members to meet guests' needs and uphold restaurant policies
