Job Duties
- Transport boxes of hamburger and whopper patties and buns from storage area to broiler
- Place sandwich patty and bun on conveyor to be taken through broiler
- Remove from end of conveyor using tongs and place in PHU to maintain heat until final preparation
- Listen to orders called to determine type of sandwich to be made
- Remove sandwich patty and bun from PHU
- Apply condiments, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, etc. according to order
- Wrap or place finished sandwich in serving box
- Mark wrapping to indicate type of sandwich and extras and mark hold time and place on heat chute
- Check level of cooking oil and remove or add appropriate amount of shortening for food to be prepared
- Transport food from freezer to refrigerator or work station
- Prepare baskets of french fries for busy times
- Listen to orders called to monitor to determine food to be prepared
- Place food (french fries, onion rings, hash browns) in fryer basket and lower into appropriate vat
- Press appropriate timer to determine cooking time
- Remove from oil, allow to drain, salt (as appropriate), and place in serving container
- Transport food from storage freezer/refrigerator to freezer at work site
- Listen to orders and prepare ham and cheese, chicken and ocean catch sandwiches, chicken tenders and hot dessert pies
- Toast sandwich buns and prepare sandwich with meat, condiments, and garnishes ordered
- Heat dessert pies and ham and cheese sandwiches (if order hot) in microwave
- Place chicken tenders in fryer basket, lower into appropriate vat, and remove after proper cooking time
- Wrap finished foods for serving
- Assist in food preparation and assembling orders for customers
- Review order and gather prepared foods
- Place order on dining room tray or in take-out bags
- Notify other food handlers of shortages
- Serve shakes, pressing lids onto beverage containers
- Place portioned condiments, napkins and straws with orders
- Monitor holding time of cooked and prepared foods and discard when time period has been surpassed
- Assist in maintaining order and cleanliness of kitchen
- Wash trays, pans, racks and other kitchen equipment by hand
- Break down and clean kitchen equipment
- Wipe surfaces and mop floor
- Turn off and dismantle cooking equipment when designated as a closer
- Sanitize equipment with approved solutions
- Climb 6 foot stepladder to clean hoods and ventilators
- Roll filter pump to fryer, attach hoses and activate pump to filter oil
- Empty oil and discard to hold barrels and clean vats at designated intervals
- Scrub and hot-hose floors
