The position of Team Member is a vital role within a fast-service food establishment commonly found in the quick-service restaurant industry. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • prior experience in fast-food or food service environment beneficial but not required

Job Duties

  • Works at any station to prepare and serve quality fast-service foods
  • transports hamburger and whopper patties and buns from storage to broiler
  • places sandwich patty and bun on conveyor and removes them after broiling
  • maintains heat in PHU until final preparation
  • listens to orders to determine sandwich type
  • applies condiments, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions per order
  • wraps or boxes sandwiches and marks them for order accuracy
  • checks oil levels and adjusts shortening
  • prepares baskets of fries and other fried items
  • monitors cooking times and removes food from fryer
  • prepares specialty sandwiches, toasts buns, heats pies in microwave
  • assists as expeditor by assembling orders and placing condiments
  • monitors holding time of foods and discards expired items
  • maintains kitchen cleanliness by washing equipment and surfaces
  • dismantles and sanitizes cooking equipment when closing
  • climbs stepladders for cleaning ventilators
  • operates pump to filter fryer oil and disposes of waste
  • scrubs and hot-hoses floors
