Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year experience in food service industry
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, high energy environment
  • able to spend 90 percent of working time standing
  • able to spend 10 percent of working time sitting
  • physical ability to perform tasks including walking, bending, kneeling, lifting over 25 pounds
  • reliable transportation
  • ability to communicate clearly in English
  • good hearing and vision with correction
  • able to handle physically demanding workload
  • able to work flexible hours
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to adapt to change

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 1 year experience in the food service industry
  • supervisory experience a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • Provide supervision during assigned shifts
  • provide team members and guests with a positive experience and atmosphere
  • manage both FOH and BOH shift responsibilities including staff scheduling to minimize overtime and control labor costs
  • monitor speed of service to ensure a positive guest experience
  • handle guest comments and complaints
  • supervise daily shifts to maintain McAlister's standards for product quality and cleanliness
  • assist in training team members including new hires
  • enforce uniform policy and standards
  • ensure proper cash handling procedures
  • open and close the restaurant in absence of upper management
  • perform line checks
  • enforce safety and sanitation practices
  • handle issues with team members and escalate when necessary
