Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in food service industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Ability to stand for 90 percent of the working time
  • Ability to sit for 10 percent of the working time
  • Must be able to use sensory capabilities including vision, hearing, tasting, smelling, touching, and speaking
  • Physical capabilities such as walking, bending, kneeling, handling, hand flexibility, reaching, squatting, crawling, lifting, climbing, and stooping
  • Ability to carry loads greater than 25 pounds and transport up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Reliable transportation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience within the food service industry
  • Supervisory experience a plus but not required
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Retail experience

Job Duties

  • Provide supervision during assigned shifts
  • Provide team members and guests with a positive experience and atmosphere
  • Manage both FOH and BOH shift responsibilities including staff scheduling to minimize overtime and control labor costs
  • Monitor speed of service to ensure a positive guest experience
  • Handle guest comments and complaints
  • Supervise daily shifts to maintain McAlister's standards, product quality, and cleanliness
  • Assist in ongoing training of team members and perform line checks
  • Enforce uniform policy and standards
  • Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
  • Open and close the restaurant in the absence of upper management
  • Perform all other duties assigned by management
