Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of related work experience in wine/beverage, foodservice, event management, or hospitality
  • Must be able to display a high level of energy and self-motivation
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Strong customer service skills with attentiveness to guests
  • Detail oriented and thorough
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Ability to stand for up to eight hours
  • Ability to lift and carry fifty pounds
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures hot and cold for long periods

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of related work experience in wine/beverage, foodservice, event management, or hospitality
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, food and beverage management, hospitality or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in restaurant, tasting room, or similar environment preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented and thorough
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • High level of energy and self-motivation

Job Duties

  • Assist in the daily operation of all programs at the CIA Copia campus including culinary and beverage classes
  • Receive, sort, and check-in all ingredients for class production
  • Maintain organization of walk-in coolers, dry storage, and culinary equipment inventory
  • Set up kitchen stations for smooth class production execution
  • Ensure proper packaging, storage, and security of food items while adhering to health code regulations
  • Clean, organize, restock, and reset kitchens during and after production
  • Provide support and training to guests, internal stakeholders, and chef instructors during all programs
