Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of related work experience in wine/beverage, foodservice, event management, or hospitality industry
- Must be able to display a high level of energy and self-motivation
- Ability to work independently or in team environment and maintain collaborative relationships
- Strong customer service skills and responsiveness to guests
- Detail-oriented and thorough
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, adaptability, dependability, and multitasking ability
- Previous computer experience including MS Office suite
- Availability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Physical ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, and stretch
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures for long periods
- Able to stand for up to 8 hours at a time
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of related work experience in wine/beverage, foodservice, event management, or hospitality industry
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, food and beverage management, hospitality, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in wine and beverage, foodservice, event management, or hospitality within restaurants, tasting rooms, or similar environments preferred
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Detail-oriented and thorough
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Computer proficiency with MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Job Duties
- Assist in daily operation of all programs at the CIA Copia campus including receiving and sorting ingredients
- Provide clear communication with chef instructors and lead stakeholders regarding missing ingredients
- Maintain organization of walk-in coolers and dry storage areas
- Organize, distribute, and inventory culinary equipment
- Set up kitchen stations to ensure smooth execution of class production
- Package, store, organize, and secure all food items according to established procedures
- Clean, organize, restock, and reset kitchen during and after production
- Communicate timing, space usage, and program details with internal teams
- Notify chefs of curriculum edits in recipe packets
- Assist guests and stakeholders with questions, equipment training, and locating utensils and food items
- Support chef instructors during programs including set-up, mise en place, clean-up, and restocking
- Maintain clean and sanitary work and storage areas and follow health code regulations
- Ensure efficient production with minimal waste during recipe preparation and service
- Assist with meal production during specialty programming
- Perform any additional duties as assigned
