Job Requirements
- Child Development Associate (CDA) or state awarded certificate
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
- Six months experience in early childhood development
- Twelve credit hours from accredited university including six hours in Early Childhood Development or related field
- Enrollment in CDA Credential program to be completed within one year
- Education evaluation for non-USA degrees
- Computer literacy
- Basic keyboard skills
- Ability to use software programs like Microsoft Office and Adobe
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
Job Qualifications
- Child Development Associate (CDA) or a state awarded certificate meeting or exceeding CDA credential requirements
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
- Six months experience working in an early childhood development setting
- Twelve credit hours from accredited college or university including at least six credit hours in Early Childhood Development or closely related field
- Enrollment in a Child Development Associate Credential program to be completed within one year of hire
- Education obtained outside the USA must be evaluated for equivalency
- Computer literacy
- Basic keyboard skills and ability to use computer software programs like Microsoft Office and Adobe
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
Job Duties
- Assist and partner with the teacher in planning and implementing the classroom-learning environment
- Provide high quality developmentally appropriate care and education for children ages 3-5
- Participate as part of a center-based interdisciplinary team to support the child in all areas of development
- Support education, disabilities, health, and social service needs of families
- Abide by state and federal regulations including Head Start Program Performance Standards and Head Start Act
- Actively supervise children by sight and sound in all environments
- Maintain health and safety regulations to create an optimum learning environment
- Facilitate health practices to keep children safe in school bus, outdoor and indoor environments
