Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • must possess a Food Handler's card or obtain within 60 days from date of hire
  • must have knowledge of HACCP Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point
  • knowledgeable of health codes and liquor laws
  • must be able to successfully pass a background investigation for a Tribal Gaming License or Permit
  • must be able to work any shift assigned including days, swing, grave, weekends, and/or holidays
  • must have a successful employment history with Tulalip Tribes and/or other employers

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • minimum of two years experience cooking in a high volume, batch cooking kitchen
  • minimum of one year experience cooking seafood, breakfast, and fry cook menu items
  • minimum of one year experience grilling, broiling, sautéing, roasting, braising, and steaming foods
  • prior experience in re-thermal procedures preferred
  • knowledge of HACCP Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point
  • knowledge of health codes and liquor laws
  • ability to work any assigned shift
  • successful employment history with Tulalip Tribes or other employers

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals according to banquet event orders
  • perform basic cooking procedures
  • conduct prep work
  • sauté, broil, pan fry and deep fry food items
  • poach, steam, braise, roast and bake various foods
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the cooking station
  • adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • comply with HACCP and health codes
  • assist in re-thermal procedures
  • work assigned shifts including days, swings, graveyards, weekends and holidays
