Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- no high school diploma, GED or college degree required
- no experience required and on the job training provided
- must pass background check
- must pass marijuana drug test
Job Qualifications
- One year of prior multi-line reception experience or dispatching experience preferred
- excellent communication skills
- strong problem-solving skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- basic computer skills including familiarity with routing software
- ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure
- military experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Coordinate and manage the efficient flow of taxis and drivers
- receive calls, determine the suitable taxi availability, and direct taxis to customer locations
- communicate with dispatch staff to arrange for taxis to be dispatched immediately or at a specified time
- manage dispatching operations such as making sure vehicles have gas and oil to keep them running
- track taxi activity to ensure that vehicles are dispatched in accordance with local laws and regulations
- coordinate with taxi companies to provide service to special events and conventions
- maintain communication with taxi drivers to ensure they reach customers quickly or punctually
