Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • One year of prior multi-line reception or dispatching experience preferred
  • ability to operate modern routing software

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and manage the efficient flow of taxis and drivers
  • receive calls, determine suitable taxi availability, and direct taxis to customer locations
  • communicate with dispatch staff to arrange for taxis to be dispatched immediately or at a specified time
  • manage dispatching operations such as making sure vehicles have gas and oil
  • track taxi activity to ensure vehicles are dispatched in accordance with local laws and regulations
  • coordinate with taxi companies to provide service to special events and conventions
  • maintain communication with taxi drivers to ensure prompt arrival
  • track driver activity to ensure efficient routes and compliance with traffic laws
  • use modern routing software to develop, alter, and optimize delivery routes
  • effectively communicate and serve as liaison between drivers and customers
  • remain agile to handle sudden route changes or delivery issues
