Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • 5+ years in corporate tax experience
  • ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week
  • limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • solid understanding of real estate tax technical and transaction skills including partnership taxation, REIT taxation and qualification, partnership allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, acquisition/disposition planning and structuring, and experience with federal tax compliance, federal tax accounting and provisions, tax analysis, and tax research
  • strong managerial experience with budgets, people and projects
  • ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • one of the following active accreditations obtained: licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, certifications including CFA, CFP

Job Qualifications

  • strong managerial experience with budgets, people, and projects
  • active accreditation such as licensed CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, CFA, or CFP
  • ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model requiring in-person co-location 2-3 days per week
  • ability to travel up to 25% on average

Job Duties

  • Assist clients with partnership life events including formations, mergers, and initial public offerings
  • handle inside and outside basis computations, section 704(c), and section 743(b) calculations
  • process Schedule K-1 forms
  • utilize proprietary technologies to streamline clients’ tax compliance processes and achieve worldwide compliance
  • maintain and develop strong client relationships for federal tax consulting and compliance engagements
  • advise clients on REIT qualification, tax reform impacts, business restructuring, and tax controversy
  • oversee complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects using state-of-the-art technology and data analytics
  • manage engagement workflow, team resources, and billing
  • mentor and develop junior staff including U.S. India office resources providing leadership and career guidance
