Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • 5 or more years of corporate tax experience
  • Solid understanding of real estate tax and partnership taxation
  • Strong managerial skills with budgeting and project management experience
  • Ability to work in hybrid model with 2-3 days in office
  • Ability to travel up to 25 percent
  • Active CPA license or eligible for CPA license
  • If not CPA eligible, licensed attorney or enrolled agent
  • Certifications such as CFA or CFP preferred
  • Immigration sponsorship may be limited
  • Preferred advanced degrees include Masters of Tax, JD or LLM
  • Previous Big 4 or large CPA firm experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of corporate tax experience
  • Solid understanding of real estate tax technical and transaction skills including partnership taxation, REIT taxation and qualification, partnership allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, acquisition/disposition planning and structuring
  • Strong managerial experience with budgets, people, and projects
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model requiring in-person presence 2-3 days per week
  • Ability to travel up to 25% on average
  • Active accreditation such as Licensed CPA or Licensed Attorney or Enrolled Agent
  • Certifications like Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) are desirable
  • Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM and experience with Big 4 or large CPA firms

Job Duties

  • Assist clients with partnership life events including formations, mergers, and initial public offerings
  • Perform inside and outside basis computations, section 704(c) and section 743(b) computations, and Schedule K-1 processing
  • Use proprietary technologies to streamline clients' tax compliance processes and achieve worldwide compliance
  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships on federal tax consulting and compliance engagements
  • Advise clients on a variety of tax issues including REIT qualification, tax reform impacts on passthrough entities, business restructuring, and tax controversy
  • Oversee complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects using state-of-the-art technology and data analytics
  • Manage engagement workflow, team resources, and billing
  • Mentor and develop junior staff including those in the U.S. India office providing leadership and career guidance
