Job Requirements

  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week
  • 5+ years in corporate tax experience
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • Solid understanding of real estate tax technical and transaction skills including partnership taxation, REIT taxation and qualification, partnership allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, acquisition disposition planning and structuring, and experience with federal tax compliance, federal tax accounting and provisions, tax analysis and tax research
  • Strong managerial experience with budgets, people and projects
  • Ability to travel up to 25% on average based on the work and clients served
  • One of the following active accreditations obtained: licensed CPA in state of practice or primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA, if not CPA eligible: licensed attorney, enrolled agent, certifications including Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP)

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of corporate tax experience
  • Solid understanding of real estate tax technical and transaction skills including partnership and REIT taxation
  • Strong managerial experience with budgets, people, and projects
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model
  • Active accreditation such as licensed CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, CFA, or CFP

Job Duties

  • Assist clients with life events for partnerships including formations, mergers, and initial public offerings
  • Perform inside and outside basis computations, Section 704(c) and Section 743(b) calculations, and Schedule K-1 processing
  • Use proprietary technologies to streamline tax compliance processes and ensure worldwide compliance
  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships on federal tax consulting and compliance engagements
  • Provide expert advice on tax issues such as REIT qualification, tax reform impacts on passthrough entities, business restructuring, and tax controversies
  • Oversee complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects involving multiple entities using data analytics and advanced technology
  • Manage engagement workflow, team resources, and billing, while mentoring and developing junior staff including those in the US India office
