Job Requirements
- Must have at least two years of kitchen management experience
- Must be able to communicate effectively in various settings
- Must have problem-solving skills and common sense reasoning
- Must have writing skills for correspondence and publications
- Must have basic math skills including arithmetic and statistical inference
- Must possess intermediate computer skills
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to communicate occupational-based English proficiently
- Must obtain and maintain required work cards
- Must verify legal right to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Two years of previous experience in kitchen management
- Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings
- Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations
- Ability to write effective letters, memos, speeches and articles for publication
- Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from staff members, guests, regulatory agencies or business community
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Intermediate computer skills
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to functionally communicate occupational-based English, both written and verbal
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required
- Verify right to work in the United States
Job Duties
- Assume complete charge of the kitchen
- Plan, organize and implement daily assignments
- Maintain knowledge of all cook classifications and understand their duties and assignments
- Know the proper preparation of all menu items to specifications and guidelines
- Check the methods of preparation, sizes or portions, and the garnishes, inventory
- Oversee food deliveries and proper rotation of all perishable food items
- Maintain and enforce all company and health department sanitation requirements and regulations
- Administer disciplinary action including mediating disputes and counseling notices
- Train, give instructions and coach team members
- Observe each team member at least once a shift to ensure duties meet company specifications
- Enforce dress code and appearance standards
- Adapt crew to changes in volume of business
- Maintain a daily production inventory
- Assist in cooking, portioning and cleaning in the kitchen daily
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws, internal controls and federal regulations
- Provide outstanding customer service to guests and team members
- Perform other duties as assigned
